Privacy policy

This page explains what happens to the details you send us through this website. It is short because the site does very little with them.

What we collect

If you fill in the quote form we collect your name, and whichever of your phone number, email address and postcode you give us, along with anything you write in the message box and which service you picked. If you sign up for the seasonal tips email we collect your email address and nothing else.

Our web host keeps ordinary server logs, which include the IP address of visitors. We also record the IP address a form was sent from, so we can stop automated spam.

What we use it for

To answer your enquiry, to price the work, and to keep in touch about the job. If you asked for the seasonal tips email, to send you that. We do not sell your details to anybody and we do not pass them to anybody else except where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for as long as we need them for our records. If you would like yours deleted, ask and we will delete it.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising cookies. With your permission it uses Google Analytics, run by Google, to count visits and see which pages are useful. Nothing from Google loads until you press Accept on the cookie notice. If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_X8C6TF73CG, which tell one visitor from another without naming anyone; Google keeps the data for two months. Change your cookie choice at any time; saying no deletes them.

WordPress may set a cookie if you log in to the admin area, which only we do.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Ring 01257 826560 or write to us at 8 Andertons Mill, Mawdesley, Ormskirk, L40 3TW. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
